# Area and Perimeter: Rhombus

This online calculator is a free online tool to help you in calculate area and perimeter of Rhombus.

## Calculator

### Enter 2 values

 edges (a) = height (h) = diagonal 1 (d1) = diagonal 2 (d2) = alpha 1 (α1) = °rad alpha 2 (α2) =
Round to decimal places.
 Area A = Perimeter P = ## Formula  • P – perimeter
• A – area
• a – edges
• h – height
• d1,2 – diagonals
• α1,2 – angles

## Rhombus

Rhombus is one of shape in geometric. Rhombus is a flat shape with 4 equal straight sides. The name “rhombus” is originated from Greek Language rhombos, which means a piece of wood whirled on a string to make a roaring noise. Some people call this shape as rhomb or even diamond. Rhombus’ shape is similar as Square because the length of sides are equal with each other. Rhombus has its own diagonal though they are not in the same length but they are perpendicular to one another and halve one another. The height is the perpendicular distance between two opposite edges.

## The standard formula to count the Area of Rhombus

A= a.h
A = area
a = side of the rhombus
h = height of the rhombus

## The standard formula to count the Perimeter of Rhombus

P= 4.a
P = perimeter
a = side of the rhombus

## The Instruction to use the Calculator Online to calculate the Area and Perimeter of Rhombus

1. First, input 2 values between edges(a, b), diagonal (d1, d2), or with alpha / beta angle in the rhombus
2. Next, you can choose what decimal places you need. It can 1 or 2 or whatever you want.
3. And then, click “Calculate Button” and the answer (Perimeter and Area) will automatically appear.
4. To count another number, just repeat the first step.

## Example of the usage of calculator online to count the Area and Perimeter of Rhombus

1. Example, enter “8” in “a”, and “8” in “h” of the rhombus.
2. Then click enter or “Calculate” button.
3. You will find the answer right there on the Area A column and Perimeter P column. The area is 64.00 and the Perimeter is 32.00.
